Allen is the Director of Shelby County 9-1-1. And also serves on the State 9-1-1 Board
RV White -- 2013 to 2014
RV is the Director of Limestone County 9-1-1.
Lon Jones -- 2012 to 2013
Lon is the Director for the City of Enterprise 9-1-1.
Chris Tucker -- 2011 to 2012
Chris is the Director of Huntsville - Madison 9-1-1.
Roger Wilson -- 2010 to 2011
Roger is the Director of Walker County 9-1-1. He is also serving on the Alabama 9-1-1 Board. Also has served as AAND (Alabama Association of 9-1-1 Directors) president. Also has served the Alabama Wireless Board.
Christine Heger -- 2009 to 2010
Chris is the Director of Baldwin County 9-1-1. She is also serving on the Alabama 9-1-1 Board. Also has served as AAND (Alabama Association of 9-1-1 Directors) president.
Rod Coleman -- 2008 to 2009
Rod is the Director of Tuscaloosa County 9-1-1. Also has served as AAND (Alabama Association of 9-1-1 Directors) president.
Johnny Hart – 2007 to 2008
Johnny is the Director of Marshall County 9-1-1. He has also served on the Alabama 9-1-1 Board and on the Alabama Wireless Board.
Harold Parker – 2006 to 2007
Harold retired in 2009 as Deputy Chief of Homewood Fire Department.
Bill Brodeur – 2005 to 2006
Bill has retired as Director of Etowah County 9-1-1. He is still active in NENA and 9-1-1. Also is serving as AAND (Alabama Association of 9-1-1 Directors) president. He has served on the Alabama 9-1-1 Board and on the Alabama Wireless Board. Bill has served as Conference Chair For many Years. This was Bill's second term He also served as Alabama NENA president 1995 to 1996.
Roger Humphrey – 2003 to 2004 to 2005
Roger has retired as Director for Cullman County 9-1-1 and served consecutive terms. Serving National NENA on the finance Committee he is still active in NENA and 9-1-1.
Sharon Thomas – 2002 to 2003
Sharon was the Director for St. Clair County 9-1-1 and is now in real estate.
Ernie Blair – 2001 to 2002
Ernie has retired as Director for Huntsville/Madison County 9-1-1. He is still active in NENA and 9-1-1. He has served as AAND (Alabama Association of 9-1-1 Directors) president. Ernie is on the Alabama 9-1-1 Board and the Alabama First Responders Commission.
Dick Pierce – 2000
Dick was the first president elected under the new bylaws and served a term from January – October 2000. Dick has since retired as the 9-1-1 Director for Tuscaloosa County.
Russell Bowers – 1999
Russ was the 9-1-1 Director for Colbert County and resigned to go to work with Intrado near the end of the term he was serving. He has since moved to Colorado.
Ron Sparks – 1998 to 1999
Ron was the Director of DeKalb County and resigned to take a position with the Alabama Department of Agriculture. Ron was elected in 2002 as the Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries.
Art Faulkner – 1997 to 1998
Art is now the director for Alabama EMA. He was the Communications Officer and State 9-1-1 Coordinator with the Alabama Department of Homeland Security. He was previously the 9-1-1 Director for Elmore County where he currently serves on the Board of Directors.
Seth Phelps – 1996 to 1997
Seth was the Director of Baldwin County 9-1-1 and was famous for coordinating the Shrimp Boil prior to becoming ALNENA President. Seth and the Baldwin County Crew put on a great Conference to close out his term as President. Seth retired in early 2002.
Bill Brodeur – 1995 to 1996
Bill has retired as Director of Etowah County 9-1-1. He is still active in NENA and 9-1-1. Also is serving as AAND (Alabama Association of 9-1-1 Directors) president. He has served on the Alabama 9-1-1 Board and on the Alabama Wireless Board. Bill has served as Conference Chair For many Years. This was Bill's first term but would serve again as president from 2005 to 2006.
Bill Meadows – 1994 to 1995
Bill is the 9-1-1 Coordinator for Lee County. He was the Fire Marshall in Opelika and the 9-1-1 Coordinator when serving as ALNENA President.
John Ellison – 1992 to 1994
John served nine months of the un-expired term of George Mangum and then his one year term. John was the 9-1-1 Director for Shelby County; he was later elected to Nation Office and served as National NENA President from June 1996 to June 1997. John was the person who established the E-mail group and this web site for Alabama NENA. In 2013 National NENA selected John to receive The William J. Stanton Award. He now owns and operates his own consulting firm servicing many 9-1-1 districts.
George Mangum – 1991 to 1992 (deceased)
George was the 9-1-1/EMA Director for Lauderdale County when elected to 2nd VP. He resigned after serving three months of his term as President.
Larry Amerson – 1990 to 1991
Larry was the 9-1-1 Coordinator for the Calhoun County 9-1-1 when serving as President of ALNENA. He is now the Sheriff of Calhoun County.
Lee Helms – 1990
ALNENA’s first President, Lee was the Alabama Emergency Management Agency Director. Lee organized an E9-1-1 users group that evolved into ALNENA. Lee’s term was only a few months as the new officers took over in October. He is now in private business.
